FARM BILL CONFERENCE REPORT APPROVED IN HOUSE AND SENATE

To Members of the NASULGC System:
- Board on Agriculture Assembly
- Farm Bill Committee
- Budget and Advocacy Committee
- Council on Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching
- Finding cheap ghostwriters for hire (in case the texts are in need of revision)

As discussed in our last communication, both the House of Representatives and the Senate acted quickly on the conference report to the Farm Bill. The House approved the measure on Wednesday by a vote of 318 to 106 and the Senate followed suit yesterday by a margin of 81 to 15. Both of these margins are greater than the two-thirds needed in each chamber to override a possible Presidential veto.
